Here is what the anti-American “tea party” is like:
First, Islam is NOT a religion, it is an ideology — the religious portion only encompasses 11 % (the qur’an) the rest is the Sira and Hadith and the closest parallel to Islam is the Ku Klux Klan — if that is Six Flag’s idea of ‘appropriate’ then by all means, hold your day on September 12th but don’t plan on expanding any time soon because not only will we ensure that you don’t grow, we’ll make sure that your parks become a thing of the past.
This, and the verbal attacks on the Islamic community center in downtown Manhattan and the resistance to building a Mosque in Temecula make me wonder what country I’m living in. This is certainly not what I was raised to believe in as an American.
I keep thinking that every time there’s a violent crime caused by christian fundamentalists, we should go on TV and DEMAND that no more churches be built within 10 miles of the site. Because you know that deep down, all Christians are violent and we don’t want to go around glorifying their behavior or insulting the victims.
Sir,
I truly don’t believe that there is any more racism and hatred in the world than before. I think that hate and ignorance have always been around, just today the ability to broadcast the hate is more widespread.
The only control I have over it is deciding what to bring into my world, and how to respond to what I find out in the world.
I truly think that the majority of humanity is reasonable and basically loving. The hateful ones are just much, much louder.
If I am wrong, then we go extinct as a species and the universe is the better for our absence...
